Foundation Challenge Announced
/As you may know, the ACFE challenges our chapters to donate to the ACFE Foundation. Last year, ACFE chapters raised nearly $130,000 for future anti-fraud professionals. Participating chapters also received some great prizes to share with their members.
The mission of the ACFE Foundation is to increase the body of anti-fraud knowledge and support future anti-fraud professionals worldwide through the funding of scholarships, endowments, research and other educational projects. Donations from ACFE chapters have provided significant support to the Foundation’s mission. Since 2014, donations made by ACFE chapters total more than $570,000! We are excited to announce the return of the Foundation Fundraising Challenge for chapters in 2023.
So far, we have collected $3,150 from five chapters. Thank you to the following chapters who have already donated:
Lansing Chapter - $1,000
Northeast Oklahoma Chapter - $1,000
Golden State Chapter - $500
Philippines Chapter - $500
Zambia Chapter - $150
Scholarships
The ACFE Foundation administers the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program, which has given more than $900,000 to deserving students around the world. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $10,000 per student. Thanks in large part to support from our ACFE chapters, beginning in 2023, the ACFE Foundation increased the total yearly scholarships from $55,000 to $85,000.
ACFE Research Institute
In addition to providing scholarships to students, the ACFE Foundation expanded its scope by merging with the ACFE Research Institute (ARI). The ARI works with academics and practitioners to support research studies on the prevention of fraud and corruption. It provides both funding and data to aid research studies that benefit CFEs and the anti-fraud profession.
The deadline to submit your chapter’s donation is December 31, 2023. Payments can be made by credit card over the phone, or you can mail in a check. For check payments, please send your check, payable to the ACFE Foundation, to:
