Large Crowds at Maryland and Central Ohio Chapter Conferences

It is conference season for many ACFE chapters, and two of the largest chapter conferences in the U.S. occurred in May. The Maryland Chapter’s Maryland Fraud Conference 2015 had an attendance of more than 525, May 4-5 at Martin’s West in Baltimore. The following week, the Central Ohio Chapter’s 2015 Emerging Trends in Fraud Conference attracted more than 680 attendees at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus.

A great place to start is making sure you have the ability to contact ACFE members in your area. You can access a list of members in your chapter’s geographical region. This member list is available to a select number of chapter leaders (in most cases five) for each chapter and includes all Associates and CFEs in your area, as well as their contact information.

A mentor noticed Stacy Johnson’s forensic and investigation skills during her work on insolvent liquidation engagements and encouraged her to pursue the CFE credential. This path led the Nassau native to eventually become secretary, vice president and current president of the ACFE Bahamas Chapter.
