Tell the ACFE About Your Upcoming Events

As we all know, the pandemic has changed the way all organizations operate. Many ACFE chapters were successful by quickly pivoting to virtual events. By now, many chapters are offering a mix of virtual, in-person and hybrid events. Another way chapters have found success is by offering virtual events and partnering with other chapters to increase the visibility and number of attendees. In 2021, nearly half of all ACFE chapters partnered with other ACFE chapters.

Before COVID-19, partnering with other chapters didn’t make sense since nearly all events were in-person. However, we have seen more and more chapters begin to not only partner with other chapters for their virtual trainings, but some chapters are helping promote other chapters’ events even when there is no partnership. This is a great way to support other ACFE chapters and also give your members additional training opportunities.

The ACFE would also like to know when you are having your upcoming events. By knowing when your events are and who the speaker will be, the ACFE can better plan which in-person events we hold in each city. It will also prevent the ACFE from having similar events nearby. Ultimately, it will help both our events be as successful as possible.

The ACFE requires all chapters to complete their annual recertification form and events survey. This is a great way for us to get an idea of when to hold an event in your city or when our in-person events would conflict with yours.

Another way to tell us about your planned and confirmed events is by contacting Joe Broccolo directly and providing the details directly. When your chapter provides us with the specific details of your event and includes the website for the event, Joe will post the details of the event for you on the ACFE’s Chapter Calendar of Events which many chapters don’t utilize.

Also, so your chapter is aware of ACFE’s upcoming events, we encourage you to periodically check our Calendar of Events throughout the year. Many of our confirmed 2023 in-person events have not been added to our calendar of events yet. For the local chapters of these events, I will be emailing you soon to tell you the details so you can have it on your calendar, and hopefully will not conflict with any upcoming events.

ACFE Chapters held a lot of great events in 2022 and we look forward to hearing more about them in 2023.
