Tales From the Trenches: Melbourne Chapter Hosts Seminar

More than 75 anti-fraud professionals attended the Melbourne, Australia, Chapter’s second-annual fraud seminar on November 10 at the Premiership Club Dining Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The theme of the seminar was “Tales From the Trenches,” and attendees heard a series of case studies to learn about tips, tools and techniques used by leading anti-fraud professionals in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

After a welcome message from chapter president Roger Darvall-Stevens, CFE, attendees heard from a variety of speakers throughout the day including keynoters John Price, commissioner for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, and Alistair Maclean, CEO of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

The capacity event was attended by a broad range of professionals representing law enforcement, regulators, consulting firms and others.

“This event showcases the global nature of the ACFE and the dedication of the Melbourne Chapter to bring high-quality training opportunities to our members,” said Darvall-Stevens.
