Each year at the ACFE Global Fraud Conference, the ACFE recognizes local chapters that have gone above and beyond their missions with two awards: Chapter of the Year and Chapter Website of the Year. This year’s awards were presented to the Central Ohio Chapter and Rhode Island Chapter, respectively.

Read MoreThe Philadelphia Area Chapter was formed 29 years ago and they have a long history of finding dedicated volunteers to not only serve the local members, but also promote the ACFE’s local events. The chapter board includes the four officers, training director and five directors that serve approximately 250 chapter members.

Over the years, chapter leaders have been able to take advantage of group discounts or international discounts. I’d like to remind you that we are still offering discounts to our chapter leaders. Their dedicated board of nine chapter leaders includes both new members as well as veteran leadership, which gives the board an opportunity to have new ideas and a wealth of experience.

Growing a new chapter requires a vision and dedication. I’m sure many of you remember the difficulties a chapter faces in its first few years.
